Decoration A facsimile of the medal and diploma of the Nobel Prize for Literature for 1945 is exhibited here.
The Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral donated these items to her fellow countrymen to be cared for by the Franciscans, of whose Third Order she was a member. Gabriela Mistral gave all the financial benefits of her works to the children of the Elqui valley.
